Who uses the site
Residents checking daily conditions before a swim, a run or a school pickup. Boaters, kiters and paddlers reading the bay and coastal forecast. Miami-area and out-of-town visitors planning a day at Crandon, Bill Baggs or Virginia Key. Diners looking for what is open on the island tonight. We do not collect demographic data, so we will not describe the audience with numbers we do not have.
Where partners appear
Placements sit below the live data, never above it, on pages where intent is local and specific:
- the marine forecast and Crandon Marina pages, for boaters and anglers;
- the beaches guide, beach cam and Crandon parking, for beach days;
- the Virginia Key guide and events, for planning a day out.
Island Partners also appear in a strip on the homepage, below the conditions dashboard.
Never sponsored: beach water-quality and beach-flag pages, king-tide and other dated safety notices, and condition alert emails. Restaurant rankings and “best of” lists stay editorial; a featured card sits apart from them.
Founding Partner program
The first five partners get founding terms: a three-month minimum, billed monthly, with the rate locked for 12 months.
Featured Listing: $99 a month
A labeled partner card on one relevant page, with your business name, a one-line offer and a link.
Page Partner: $249 a month
An exclusive “Presented by” placement on one page, below its live module. Only one Page Partner per page, so no competitor shares that spot.
Island Partner: $449 a month, two available
A “Presented by” strip on the homepage plus up to three topic pages, and one labeled feature in a seasonal guide each quarter. If we launch a separate opt-in weekly email, Island Partners get its sponsor line. Condition alerts stay sponsor-free either way.
What you get each month
- Google Search Console impressions and clicks for each page your placement runs on.
- Clicks on your partner link, counted in aggregate per day. We do not use cookies or store IP addresses or any other identifier to count them.
- Pageviews for your pages from Cloudflare’s cookieless Web Analytics, from the month it is switched on.
No lead guarantee. We promise that your placement runs, labeled, on the pages you bought for the whole term, on phones and desktops. We do not guarantee leads, bookings, calls, rankings or any level of traffic.
Our rules
- Always labeled. Every placement says “Partner” or “Presented by”, and partner links are marked as sponsored for search engines.
- Never in the way. Nothing goes above the fold or inside live conditions, alerts or safety information. No pop-ups.
- Independent. Partners never change conditions data, alerts, rankings or editorial copy.
- Our call. We may decline any business or creative, and both sides approve the placement before it runs.
