The right destination for a boat launch
Miami-Dade lists Crandon Park Marina at 4000 Crandon Boulevard, with boat-launching ramps, transient slips and trailer dry storage. Those are separate services. If you are driving down for the beach rather than launching a boat, use our Crandon beach parking guide; a beach-parking charge should not be used to budget a launch.
For a launch day, the useful question is not simply “Is Crandon open?” Ask what you need to use: the ramp, a space for the trailer, the office, or fuel service. The County publishes separate ramp and office schedules. This page keeps them separate too, and does not interpret either schedule as confirmation that every service is operating when you arrive.
How the fee check works
The card compares the County’s Crandon launch-fee section with our reviewed record. It distinguishes the Monday–Thursday day rate, the Friday–Sunday and holiday rate, and the annual boat-ramp pass. It does not calculate a complete bill or decide which pass you qualify for. Ask the marina about taxes, replacement decals, eligibility and any additional charges relevant to your visit.
If the amounts change, the source format breaks, or our review expires, the card stops displaying the figures. An unavailable card means we could not verify this information; it does not mean the ramp has closed or become free. The County link remains available so you can check the published schedule yourself. We would rather leave a price blank than keep an old amount looking current.
Hours are not a reservation
The displayed hours are the County’s published schedule, not a live gate sensor. Miami-Dade specifically asks boaters to call ahead about launch timing, wait times and parking availability. Use the marina number above before making a trip that depends on having a place to launch or leave a trailer. We do not have a live count of spaces.
Check the causeway incident guide before leaving the mainland, and open the marine forecast for the waters you intend to use. Traffic, marina access and weather are different checks. A quiet traffic report does not reserve parking, and a published opening schedule does not tell you what the bay is doing.
Fuel, slips and other services
The County facility list includes gas and diesel, pumpout, restrooms and transient slips. These are listed amenities, not a promise of stock, immediate service or space. Confirm the service and its hours with the marina. For a slip, ask about your vessel and dates rather than treating a published rate as a booking confirmation.
